Frozen Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is probably one of the most stunning and alluring natural falls. The Canadian side is spectacular, the city however, is tacky, ugly, and can be skipped! We have been several times, but nothing amazed me more, than seeing it frozen!

We saw it completely frozen over, visiting in the coldest of winters. It was so cold, I didn’t take pictures. I kinda figured my fingers were worth saving.

When we got home, I discovered that it had only been frozen only one other time.

This is Niagara Fall 1911.

And this is when we visited in 2015, these photos are via

It has to be so wildly cold, for a long period of time for the falls to actually freeze like this. It made it other worldly like, and it was so quiet compared to when the falls are moving.
